Both players played in exile for Derbyshire. Evershed, who captained the team for many seasons, was knighted for public service. Wright, aside from his outstanding batsmanship, was also an exceptional fielder, especially in the traditional square-point position. Wright was still playing good cricket at 90, and was a regular at the County Ground.

Hendrick took 44 wickets in an average of 15. Miller was the first to score 100 in his 256th First-Class match. Both of them are known as Derbyshire’s greatest modern all-rounders. Another player who played for Derbyshire was Leslie Jackson, who made his Test debut in 1947.

There are many Derbyshire players that have made their mark in the international arena. The county has a long and proud history, but the history of the club goes back even further. Jimmy Carr was an iconic attacking captain from Derbyshire. He went on later to become a respected and respected cricket administrator. He was part of the third "Victory Test" against Australia in 1945 at Lord's. Jimmy Carr was a graduate of school. He then went to Oxford University, where he played for Derbyshire in the holidays. In total, Morris scored 39 centuries and 91 fifties, and he averaged 32 in Test cricket.

SJ Dawson is another Derbyshire player who will play for England. Although he was a regular participant in the Twenty20 Indian Premier League, Dawson did not make the national team. Dawson left Derbyshire and moved to Sussex. He thinks this move helped him gain more recognition in the national team, and he has a strong opinion that players from smaller counties should be given more opportunities to play for England.
